Berlin, GermanyPlans are underway by the Italian Food & Wine Institute for the 3rd Edition of the Berlin Italian Wine Gala, June 11-12, 2008. As in previous years, the event in the German capital will showcase some of Italy’s most prestigious wineries and some of Berlin’s best Italian restaurants.
The festivities begin Tuesday, June 11, with a grand reception at the Italian Embassy honoring the participating Italian wine producers, followed by a buffet dinner and wine tasting.
The reception will be hosted by Ambassador Antonio Puri-Purini who will welcome an array of journalists, industry specialists and local celebrities. The evening will also include a special fashion show by a top Italian couture house, and the latest model of an Italian luxury vehicle will be on display at the Embassy.
On Wednesday, June 12, activities will begin with a seminar and wine tasting organized in collaboration with La Civiltà del Bere magazine. A representative from each winery will guide an audience of journalists through the tasting process, explaining the history and characteristics of their wines.
The seminar will be followed by the Berlin Wine Tasting, a chance for Italy’s finest wineries to present their most acclaimed wines to a group of industry specialists, restaurateurs and journalists. To accompany the tasting, chefs from Berlin’s most renowned Italian restaurants will serve a selection of culinary specialties.
The Gala offers a unique opportunity for Italian producers to promote their wines to the quickly developing German market and establish lasting relationships with key individuals from the German wine industry.
Based on the impressive results of the past two years, the Berlin Italian Wine Gala promises to achieve even greater success in 2008.
The Berlin Italian Wine Gala is co-organized by ICE Berlin and Düsseldorf and The Italian Wine & Food Institute under the patronage of the Italian ambassador to Berlin.

L’11 e 12 giugno 2008, si terrà a Berlino la terza edizione del Berlin Italian Wine Gala. Come negli anni precedenti, la manifestazione presenterà alcune delle più prestigiose case vinicole italiane insieme ai dieci più importanti ristoranti italiani di Berlino.
La manifestazione si aprirà con un ricevimento dell’Ambasciatore Antonio Puri-Purini nella sede dell’ambasciata italiana, al quale parteciperanno importanti personalità tedesche, giornalisti e VIP locali, che potranno degustare dei vini di gran qualità scelti dai produttori italiani, nel corso di un buffet preparato da uno dei più rinomati ristoranti italiani di Berlino.
La manifestazione sarà ulteriormente arricchita da una sfilata di moda e da alcune machine sportive italiane.
Il giorno successivo si terrà un seminario technico guidato realizzato in collaborazione con la rivista “Civiltà del bere.” Durante il seminario, un rappresentante di ciascuna azienda vinicola illustrerà ai giornalisti presenti, le caratteristiche organolettiche del proprio vino.
Il seminario sarà seguito dal “Berlin Wine Tasting,” dove ogni produttore presenterà una selezione di 6 vini ad un gruppo di giornalisti, operatori del settore, ristoratori e VIP. Gli ospiti potranno anche gustare delle tipiche specialità gastronomiche servite dai più noti ristoranti italiani di Berlino.
Questa grande iniziativa offre ai produttori italiani una singolare occasione per promuovere i loro vini nel mercato tedesco che attualmente si sta notevolmente ampliando, al fine di creare rapporti significativi con importanti operatori del settore vinicolo in Germania. In base agli ottimi risultati degli scorsi anni, si prevede un successo di gran lunga superiore per il Berlin Italian Wine Gala del 2008.
La manifestazione è congiuntamente organizzata dagli uffici ICE di Berlino e Düsseldorf e dall’Italian Wine & Food Institute sotto l’alto patronato dell’Ambasciatore italiano di Berlino.
